Welcome to MD Weather Alerts: A New Home for Maryland Weather Updates

Welcome to the official MD Weather Alerts website!

If you are here, there is a good chance you already know how much I care about keeping Maryland informed when it comes to the weather. What started as a simple way to share forecasts, alerts, updates, and storm information has grown into something much bigger, a community of Marylanders who want clear, timely, and reliable weather information without the hype.

That is exactly why I created MDWeatherAlerts.com.

This website is designed to be a central place for Maryland weather information, daily forecasts, active alerts, local reports, and community-driven updates from across the state. Whether you live in Western Maryland, the Baltimore metro, Southern Maryland, the Eastern Shore, the beaches, or anywhere in between, my goal is to make sure nobody feels left out when weather is happening.

    What You’ll Find on MDWeatherAlerts.com

The website is still in its early stages, but the foundation is here, and more features will continue to grow over time.

    Daily Forecasts

One of the main features of the site will be detailed Maryland forecast posts. These will include morning commute updates, daytime outlooks, evening forecasts, weekend outlooks, and weather breakdowns when conditions become more active.

The goal is simple: help you know what to expect before you head out the door.

Forecast posts will focus on timing, temperatures, rain and storm chances, wind, travel impacts, outdoor plans, and regional differences across Maryland. Weather can look very different in Garrett County compared to Ocean City, or in Harford County compared to Southern Maryland, so statewide coverage matters.

    Weather Alerts

When watches, warnings, advisories, or weather statements are issued, MD Weather Alerts will continue to focus on getting that information out clearly and quickly.

This site gives me another place to explain what those alerts mean, who is affected, what the main impacts are, and what people should do next. The goal is not to scare people. The goal is to keep Marylanders aware, prepared, and informed.

    Local Reports

One of the most important parts of MD Weather Alerts has always been the community.

Maryland weather is local. A storm may be hitting one town hard while another area nearby is still dry. That is why local reports are so valuable.

The website includes a way for people to submit local weather reports, including what they are seeing in their area. Over time, this can help build a stronger weather-aware community across Maryland, one where reports from real people help others stay informed.

A Place for the Entire State

MD Weather Alerts is not just for one city, one county, or one part of Maryland.

This website is built for the entire state.

That includes Western Maryland, North Central Maryland, the Baltimore area, the D.C. suburbs, Southern Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay region, the Eastern Shore, and the beaches. Every part of Maryland deserves weather information that feels relevant, useful, and easy to understand.

    Free to Use, No Ads

MDWeatherAlerts.com is completely free to use.

There are no ads. No paywall. No complicated signup process.

The only thing I truly ask is that you consider subscribing with your email. It is just one email, and it helps support the website, the work behind it, and the future of MD Weather Alerts.

Subscribing is one of the easiest ways to stay connected and show support as this project continues to grow.

    Why I Built This

Keeping Marylanders informed has always been the North Star of MD Weather Alerts.

I know weather can affect everything — commutes, school days, work, travel, outdoor plans, family events, and safety. I also know that people want weather information that is clear, direct, and easy to understand.

That is what I want this website to be.

Not hype. Not confusion. Not endless noise.

Just useful Maryland weather information, written in a way that helps people make better decisions.

    Thank You for Being Here

This first blog post marks the beginning of a new chapter for MD Weather Alerts.

The website will continue to improve, and more features will be added over time. I am excited to keep building this into something that serves Maryland well and gives people another trusted place to turn when weather matters.

Thank you for visiting, subscribing, sharing, submitting reports, and supporting MD Weather Alerts.

This project exists because of the Maryland community behind it and I am truly grateful you are here.
