A Life Update From MD Weather Alerts ❤️

Good morning, Maryland!

I wanted to take a moment to share a quick life update.

Over the past couple of weeks, many of you have noticed I’ve been a little less active than usual. The reason is a very happy one—my wife and I recently welcomed our baby into the world. While we’re spending some extra time in the NICU, we’re incredibly thankful for the amazing care we’ve received, and things are moving in the right direction.

Becoming a father has been one of the most meaningful moments of my life. It’s also reminded me why I started MD Weather Alerts in the first place.

This has never just been about forecasting the weather. It’s always been about looking out for our neighbors, helping families stay informed, and making sure Marylanders have trusted weather information when they need it most.

That mission means even more to me today.

Despite taking a little time to focus on family, I’ve also been working behind the scenes on something I’ve dreamed about for a long time—the official MD Weather Alerts app, which is now available on the App Store.

Seeing so many of you download it, share it with friends and family, leave reviews, and continue supporting this community has honestly been overwhelming in the best possible way.

Thank you.

Thank you for sticking with me.

Thank you for trusting me with your weather updates.

And thank you for helping build one of the best weather communities anywhere.

Now, let’s take a look at today’s forecast.

Maryland Forecast — Thursday, July 30

Today brings one of the nicest weather days we’ve seen in quite a while.

A refreshing northwest breeze will usher in lower humidity, making it feel much more comfortable across the state. Expect a mix of sunshine and passing clouds with afternoon temperatures generally reaching the low to middle 80s. Most of Maryland stays dry, though an isolated shower over the mountains can’t be ruled out.

  • Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
  • Mostly sunny with very comfortable conditions.

  • Highs around 82–84°.
  • Partly sunny skies with low humidity.

Central Maryland & DC Suburbs

If you’ve been waiting for a chance to enjoy the outdoors without the intense heat and humidity, today is your day. Open the windows, get outside, or simply enjoy a break from the sticky summer weather.

As always, thank you for being here. Whether you’ve followed MD Weather Alerts for years or just discovered us recently through the new app, your support means more than you know.

I’m excited for what’s ahead—both for my family and for this incredible community we’ve built together.

Have a wonderful Thursday, Maryland. 💚
